Time bends, gravity disappears and movement becomes illusion as Fernando Melo brings the visually stunning Tempo to Rialto’s festival finale.
The 27th Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival closes at the Rialto Theatre with Tempo, the internationally acclaimed collaboration between director Kalle Nio and Brazilian choreographer Fernando Melo. Blending dance, illusion, acrobatics and visual theatre, the performance transforms time into a physical experience on stage, where movement appears to slow down, reverse and defy gravity. Known for his interdisciplinary choreographic language and international collaborations across dance and opera, Melo brings to Limassol a dreamlike production balancing fragility, tension and wonder.
Tempo explores the sensation and fragility of time….
