During an official ceremony held in Brussels on 17 March 2026, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport named Limassol Municipality a finalist in the 2025 EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK Awards. This marks the first time a municipality from Cyprus has stood out among entries from hundreds of cities across Europe, in recognition of its efforts to promote sustainable, safe and inclusive mobility for all citizens.
