– Following the Limassol Grand Parade, City Friends Club led a large-scale post-carnival cleanup along Arch. Makariou III Avenue, mobilizing hundreds of volunteers to help make the celebration more eco-responsible.
Working together with municipal services, a team of over 500 City Friends Club volunteers focused on collecting specific types of recyclable waste during the cleanup. These included PMD (plastics, metals, and drink cartons) and sprays, which were sorted before municipal services fully cleared the streets for reopening. Compared to last year, when only 50 volunteers joined the initiative, the movement has grown tenfold, showing the increasing engagement of the community.
