Rutter: Requiem – Events 1 I Cyprus Symphony Orchestra
John Rutter’s Requiem is an intimate, contemplative and lyric meditation on the themes of life and death. Leaving aside any grandiosity and drama, this gorgeous masterpiece moves towards light rather than darkness. The concert includes, in addition to the John Rutter: Requiem, also, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Exsultate, jubilate, K.165.
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra collaborates with the Georgian conductor Levan Jagaev, the distinguished sopranos Mariza Anastasiades and Eleni Charalambous, as well as the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra Choir (choirmaster: Loizos Loizou).
