President Donald Trump on Wednesday attended the dignified transfer of four US soldiers who were recently killed in the war with Iran.
1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25; Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19; and Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, 28, were killed as part of an Iranian attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, was killed during a controlled detonation of a downed Iranian drone in Iraq, the Defense Department said.
Trump met privately with the soldiers’ families before the transfer, and he invited Feehan’s relatives to fly with him aboard Air Force One as they headed to Georgia.
