
Eins Gallery is pleased to present Leontios Toumpouris’ solo exhibition Porous defence practices for Vima Art Fair. Expanding on his ongoing inquiry into the intersections between matter, corporeality and land, Toumpouris introduces a new series of sculptural wall pieces. These works refer to embodied knowledge, autobiography and the landscape, unfolding through multiple layers of representational possibility, manifested in objects, images and gestures.
Materials such as powder-coated metal, ink on laser-engraved stainless steel, cast aluminium, glazed ceramics and rocks are assembled together by Toumpouris to compose a series of studies on autoethnography through memory and relationality, erroneously preparing for what is yet to come.
