Kestrel Farin Leah’s performance presents the reality of gender discrimination, based on her own experiences. In her performance, choreographer Kestrel Farin Leah, accompanied by live music by Yannis Christofides, highlights and projects in a satirical way, slut-shaming and the moral degradation of the single woman in the antithesis of the ideal of the nuclear family. Through a combination of movement, original texts, excerpts from social media posts and autobiographical elements, Leah, as protagonist, narrator, married woman, mother and director, questions whether dominant cultural norms such as motherhood and monogamy serve the desexualized mother-actress in her attempt to balance the demands of maternal care with her physical transgression and transformation.
