The ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence had the distinct honour of welcoming, on Wednesday 25 June 2025, His Excellency Mohammed Saif Helal Mohammed AlShehhi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Cyprus, to its premises for an official diplomatic visit and high-level meeting.
This meeting marked the beginning of a promising dialogue aimed at establishing a sustainable and mutually beneficial collaboration between the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence and United Arab Emirates government, authorities and private organisations. Discussions focused on Cyprus’ strategic geographic position, the upcoming Cyprus EU presidency and the Centre’s advanced know-how, solutions and infrastructure in Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, and Geoinformatics.
