Interesting data regarding the population of the Republic of Cyprus, which increased in 2023 compared to 2022 by 1.8%, is published today by the Cyprus Statistical Service. These data concern birth rate, mortality, migration, marriages and divorces.
Specifically, the population in the areas controlled by the State is estimated at 966.4 thousand at the end of 2023, compared to 949.1 thousand at the end of 2022, recording an increase of 1.8%.
The percentage of children under 15 years of age was estimated at 15.3% in 2023 and the percentage of elderly people aged 65 and over at 17.7%,
