Across Europe, the rate of early school leavers has been steadily declining over the last decade, dropping from 13% in 2012 to 10% in 2022. While this is, undoubtedly, positive news, there is still some way to go before reaching 2030 targets and bringing this percentage below 9%.
But keeping kids in school is only part of the challenge – keeping them engaged and interested in their education in the long run is another.
