Ayia Napa Marina hosted on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, the final phase of the Paddle for Autism ultramarathon. A group of 40 volunteers paddled 70km to raise money to build the Smile Project Multipurpose Center, which will provide daily care and education to adults with autism.
The route started from Zygi and ended at Ayia Napa Marina under the escort of safety boats and the support of the Begafico and Windsurfers on Tour sailing teams. The ultramarathon lasted about 12 hours and involved smaller groups of volunteers participating in the course’s last 45 and 5 kilometers.
