A new yellow warning for extreme maximum temperature will come into effect on Monday.
According to the warning, issued by the Cyprus Department of Meteorology, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., maximum temperatures are expected to reach around 40 degrees Celsius over inland areas and around 33 degrees Celsius over the higher mountainous areas.
