Additionally, subsidies dropped by €31.2 million
The General Government surplus increased by €469.9 million during the period January–August 2024, compared to the same period in 2023. Preliminary fiscal results prepared by the Cyprus Statistical Service for the January–August 2024 period show a General Government surplus of €1.37 billion (4.3% of GDP), compared to a surplus of €898.5 million (3.0% of GDP) for the same period in 2023.
