At least 45 protesters have been killed in the first 12 days of ongoing nationwide protests in Iran, according to the Norway-based Iran Human Rights NGO (IHRNGO). CNN cannot independently verify these numbers, as non-state media, internet access, and protest movements in Iran have all faced significant suppression. CNN’s Jomana Karadsheh reports.
