Advance Career Ltd on behalf of our client a leading Trading and Supplier services provider in high quality medical and scientific equipment seeks to recruit a Purchasing Officer:
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Purchase Manager
- Provides support to the Purchasing Manager in tasks related to his department
- Assists in managing all administrative functions related to purchasing processes
- Prepares orders and enters them into the company’s software system
- Conducts follow ups with suppliers to secure/change orders as directed
- Maintains and updates documents related to orders and receipts
- Provides support in the preparation of reports and reports regarding the company’s purchases
- Provides support in comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers and transport companies
- Negotiates with suppliers and transport companies after guidance for the most economical way of receiving the goods
- Takes care of problems with suppliers and transport companies
- Communicates with the Warehouse department to confirm the availability of storage space goods
- Informs the Warehouse department about the schedule for receiving the goods
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with suppliers
- Knows the company’s products well
- Maintains and expands his knowledge by participating in seminars and workshops on the subject
