- Creates a lively, communicative atmosphere in class which is conducive to teaching and learning.
- Encourages diligence, organisation, responsibility, self-reliance, co-operation, teamwork, honesty, understanding and tolerance in pupils.
- Plans, delivers and evaluates lessons, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Teaches all areas of the primary curriculum.
- Takes responsibility for the progress of a class of primary age pupils.
